UNC Wilmington

Last Saturday, I went to visist UNC Wilmington.  It had a really awesome campus but it was really flat and hot(even in october) which are two things that I’ll really have to get used to.  I would love to go to UNC Wilmington but I’m looking at other schools too.  The town of Wilmington was awesome and had really cool nightlife and clubs that I’ll be able to get to when I’m in college! Just kidding…  Anyway, I LOVED looking at all the historic homes, they really creeped me out.  One house was brick and it was from 1738!!! Thats insane.  It was built by a doctor who had his office right beside the house.  The doctors office was still there and I think it was built in the 1800′s.

Charleston

Soooo I went to Folly Beach, SC over Labor Day weekend annnd it was AMAZING! It’s about fifteen minutes from Charleston and it’s really quaint and different from other beaches.  I stayed with my best friends family.  We ate a lot  of good food and stayed out on the beach most of the time.  I loved it because it was alot hotter there and I could be out at night with a t-shirt and shorts on and be completely happy.   I wish I was still there.

Folly Beach

The ocean water is on my feet.

I love the way it makes me feel,

no boy or sweet, sweet melody can compare,

no other feeling has been so real.

 

I remember the first time I looked out upon the waves,

the way the humid wind blew in my knotted hair.

I taste the sea salt on my cracked lips and smile,

I can’t imagine a goodbye, I can already feel my heart starting to tear.

 

The mountains are beautiful and the rivers are splendid,

the rolling hills are magnificent and sweet.

Folly Beach however, makes a last memory in your mind

like a blazing fire in a miraculous fleet.

Hey, I’m Kelsey.  I live in Jefferson and I’m a senior at ACHS.   I’ll be eighteen in December.  I love music and some of my favorites are The Beatles, Buffalo Springfield, KottonMouth Kings, Jack Johnson, 311, Slightly Stoopid, John Mayer, Fleetwood Mac annnd Elton John! I love the sun and the beach.  I want to live away from Ashe County for a while and can’t wait to get out!  My friends and family are amazing!
